Oil Hydraulic Micromanipulator

Remote-controlled micromanipulator for chronic experiments.

This chronic micromanipulator is used for middle sized animals, mainly monkeys. Electrodes can be inserted, without vibration, into deep areas by remote control. Attachment to the head is by the chamber method, so there is no concern that some slight movement will detach the electrode involuntarily. The XY stage is made of acrylic, which allows accurate positioning and observation inside animal subjects.
